Tesco Haul

I took a little 'day trip' to Tesco last week. Exciting. I went in pursuit of cheap clothes and makeup (I'd heard good things about their playsuits) and S came along for the trip. It turned out to be a bit of a palava. We have three supermarkets near us: Waitrose, Sainsbury's and M&S (literally 2 mins away) but no massive Tesco. So we had to walk and then get a bus and anyway I'm sure you want to know all about my journey (not).

I have to say, I was a bit disappointed by the clothes. I saw a few nice blouses, (a green floaty one with hearts on it caught my eye) but nothing really stood out. And I didn't see any playsuits :( Oh well, maybe they'll have lovely summer dresses and floral playsuits as summer approaches.

BUT I did get these patent red shoes. I was drawn to these as I thought they were so pretty, but a part of me thinks they look at bit childlike. Wantingtobeachildagain? Me? Erm...S pointed out that shoes will always look a bit childlike on me as I have size 2/3 feet. Fair point. They will go with almost everything I wear as I wear a lot of black, so useful purchase methinks.

Vivo. A range I have never heard of before, but I spent a while at their makeup stand. In fact, I walked to and fro swatching and rubbing and uming and ahing.

I ended up buying this lot:

* Vivo trio eyeshadow palette in gold/light brown shades (£2.50)
*Lipstick-barely there (£1.99)
*Lipstick- nougat (£1.99)
*Eyebrow pencil (£1.50)

Firstly, everything is so cheap! I know it isn't always good to buy cheap things as they sometimes reflect the quality of the product, but in this case I'm pretty impressed.

Before this purchase, I only owned 2 lipsticks! My lips are really quite dry, so I need moisturising products.  I was not let down by these. The lipsticks are so incredibly moisturising, glide on really easily and have a cream sheen finish.

I initally preferred the nougat colour, but I'm not so sure now...I think the 'barely there' may have won me over.

Ew, excuse the spots! This is the 'nougat'. It's a light pinky brown colour.

And here is the 'barely there'. I was initially turned off by this, as I thought it blended into my skin and made me look a bit zombieish, but on second glance it is really rather nice. Again, I beg you, excuse my spots.

I also purchased an eyebrow pencil. I have never used eyebrow products before. My eyebrows ALWAYS annoy me as I can never pluck them perfectly. I used to get them threaded, but never seem to have the time to get them done. Plus I sort of resent paying £12 for a bit of skill with a piece of string.

I got a light brown colour, which I think may be a bit too dark for my eyebrows. They are a light brownish colour, but the pencil is darker than my light brown! I will experiment with it a bit more in the future.

All in all, I am very impressed with my Tesco haul! I am now looking to expand my lipstick range....
