Winning some MAC

So I am feeling stupidly excited right now, forgive me :) I just received a parcel from the lovely Amy at paperbacks-and-postcards.blogspot.co.uk after winning her 1000 follower giveaway.Yay!

I got to choose a Mac lipstick and eyeshadow of my choice. To find out what these were, read/watch on!

It came wrapped in pretty butterfly paper, with a handwritten tag, which added to the excitement, even though I knew what I was getting. THANK YOU AMY. Just thought I'd say that now/again.

Ta-da! I chose the perfect-for-summer Vegas Volt.

It's a vibrant, coral colour which I absolutely adore. I can imagine wearing this on holiday, walking along with loose curls around my face and a pretty tea dress on...but of course I wanted to try it on straight away, so the images you will now see are as far away from the holiday dream look!

Doing my best (or rather natural) 'I'm a dead Victorian girl' look, ha.

And with the lovely 'bullet' lipstick through my chin- I've been reading 'The Girl who Played with Fire', the second in 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' trilogy, and it's made me go into a bit of a macabre mood. See what I just did there? Aha, shoot me now (too much?) Seriously though, this is what sitting and reading murdery books all day does to a girl.

Moving on...

The eyeshadow I chose was in the shade 'Satin Taupe', which is a lovely browny shimmery colour. A perfect neutral colour for everyday, and I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this, so ta again :)

So yes, I'm happy with my little lot :)
